Willman Dance Company is a contemporary dance group operating in Helsinki under the direction of choreographer Marjaterttu Willman.
Willman Dance Company consists of artists who share a passion for dance and performing arts. The group prepares performances for both adult and child audiences, creating contemporary dance and dance theater works where movement and the dancers' bodily ability to express are the core of the performance. Around these are drawn the power of music and sound design, the distinctiveness of the costumes and the atmosphere created by the lighting design, forming multi-level artistic entities. Distinctive stage works deal with humanity and current issues of society.
Willman Dance Company's 2023 new work ÄIJÄ will have it's premiere at Suomenlinna's Rifle Gallery on August 17th, performances continuing until August 26th.
ÄIJÄ multi-art work in Rifle Gallery comprises "Äijä's museum" exhibition, which is open to the public during the day, and which in the evening opens up into ÄIJÄ a physical performance event. ÄIJÄ is the opening performance of Tanssin Voima -festival 2023.

Tanssin Voima -festival 2023 continues in Kanneltalo 22-24.9.23. This year the programme is aimed at adults. The festival also organizes workshops for dance and performing arts professionals. More about the programme:
